This is the letter we want all our servicemen and women to be able to write.

Without those men and women though, we have a lot more worries. I am awed that they serve, and humbled they do so on my behalf, even when I disagree with the choice of going to war. I'd really rather our government was a lot more reluctant to send our soldiers into harms way. War should always be a last resort thing, and we should never be the ones to strike first. I don't always agree with the people who make the decision to fight, but the men who do the fighting for us are all very important to me and the rest of us.

May they all return home safe.
