Some petty Revisionists tell us the concentration camps and horrors of the Holocaust were blown all out of proportion with reality. There is an immense body of eyewitness accounts such as this one. The Holocaust was real, was hideous, and was an atrocity beyond comprehension. That massacres happened elsewhere does not compare with the planned nature of the institutionalization of mass murder.

The lesser horror is the men in uniform were mostly young, some still only just becoming men in battle when they had to assimilate this particular horror as well.

The most telling thing about the author of this letter is his pure humanity. Even after seeing the death camp and what was done, he could not bring himself to be a cold blooded murderer himself. It is a great honor to the United States that our men in uniform are not cold blooded killers.
